We'll deduce you. -Popped Collar, Cheekbones, Skull, Surprise Drug Bust, DI
Sorry we took so long with this deduction! We’re just getting back into this (read: it’s TAKS week and we have hours of time on our hands). So, onward!
First: You have bags under your eyes from lack of sleep. Your eyes themselves have a tired expression, suggesting that you have had many nights during which you have had little sleep. You are also shy, more reserved. Your hair is hanging close to her face as if shielding it, instead of being pulled back. The sun is coming in from your window, so it’s not down because it’s cold. Your sentence below the picture (“I’ve always wondered what people could tell about me if they looked hard enough”) also indicates someone who is shy, or has time to think “deep thoughts.” There is a lot of blue in the picture with you: the walls of your room, your shirt, and your blanket. Blue is your favorite color. You are a person who has a calm personality. The door to your room is closed, indicating that you value privacy.
You are an artist. There are multiple pictures in the background (which due to the size in the photo could either be your work or that of an admired artist). If they are yours, you drew them when you were younger. Your room either does not have shades/curtains, or you don’t like having them drawn, indicating that you like light. If you are indeed an artist, this preference for light correlates well.
Your right hand is reaching forward slightly, while your left hand is off to the side more. You are using your right hand to take the picture because it is more steady, indicating that you are right handed. You are somewhere within the range of 13 to 16 years old.
You enjoy the television show Doctor Who. Your url reflects this (“badwolflaurel”) as does the graffiti on your mirror and the weeping angel in your closet — you shouldn’t have blinked. (Yeah, sorry about that. We saw the shadow in your closet and your url and couldn’t pass up the chance to use a little photoshop…)
Summary: A calm, shy girl of about 13-16 years who is an artist, doesn’t get enough sleep, and likes privacy.

Sorry for the delay, everyone.

Hello you beautiful people. You look gorgeous today. Really lovely.

This is a quick message to tell you that we are (as you have probably noticed), for a little while, closing our ask box. As I’m sure you can deduce (see what I did there?) we’re behind on our deductions, because free time is increasingly difficult to come by. Don’t worry, though — we have a number of deductions almost ready to be sent out, so once those are posted we will reopen our ask. Sorry for the delay.

Have a wonderful day.

Much can be deduced just from the description of your appearance. First: your skin. Your tan coloring suggests that you spend time outdoors where there is a lot of sun. You live South, where the sunlight is more direct in the Winter than in the North. Your acne implies that you have dirty hair and sweat enough to clog up your pores. Your outward appearance is not particularly important, as shown by your messy hair. You have much self confidence. If you live in a warm climate, it also makes sense that you pull your hair out of your face to keep cool.
As established, you live in a warm climate, possibly somewhat humid, to reference the sweat stains in the underarms of your school shirt. Even with air conditioning, you get hot and sweat. From this it can also be deduced that you are in high school, and at the youngest in late middle school.
Your nails are short, implying that you work with your hands. Possibly you play an instrument or sport that makes it uncomfortable to have long fingernails. This is supported by the cut at the base of your index finger. If you work with your hands, they are more likely to get injured. The ink in the corner of your nail suggests that you like to write in pen. However, since your clue does not mention which hand the ink stain, we cannot deduce whether you are right or left handed.
Your hair is blonde, but dark enough to be considered brown. You think of your hair as blonde, however. You had blonde hair when younger and as you have grown up your hair has darkened. People you met later on think of your hair as brown, but you and your long-time friends think of it as blonde.
Your uniform has a crest, signifying that you go to a private school, most likely a high school or middle school: colleges rarely have required uniforms. You wear jeans and converse with your uniform shirt. Assuming not everyone wears converse, your school (although it has a uniform) is also generally casual. You have a choice of what to wear on your feet.
Summary: You are a self-confident teenage girl in late middle school to high school who lives in a warm climate and used to have blonder hair than you do now.

[How did we do?]

You’re young, female, and still in school. That much is clear by a cursory glance at your blog — you like Justin Bieber and dislike schoolwork. Your quote (“I believe in everything because everything is reachable”) theoretically speaks of an empirical nature but is probably just a quote you found that you think sounds deep. You chiefly reblog posts, never writing texts posts or offering your own things up there — this is probably because you are a little shy (though you still measure success by approval of others) or too lazy to create your own posts. In addition, there is little fandom found in your posts — you’re very organized, keeping your personal blog personal despite your inclusion in different fandoms (i.e. BBC Sherlock).

None of us are particularly well-versed in makeup at the moment, but we’ll do our best.
The circles under your eyes suggest a lack of sleep, perhaps due to school, perhaps due to a job. Your makeup in general is neutral shades, skin tones and muted colors. You wear it to accent your features: to brush up instead of stand out. The fact that most of your makeup is gifted means it’s either not something you care to buy for yourself or, more likely, people know you’ll wear it. Assuming you did not have to check the brands before typing up your clues, we can tell you are well versed enough in makeup that you know what brands you wear. This supports our claim that makeup is an easy, go-to gift for you — i.e. you wear it often.

Sorry for the delay, everyone.

Hey everyone. We’re really surprised by the turnout on here; we weren’t expecting it at all. That said, we’re sort of kind of behind. We’re doing our best to get to everyone as soon as possible, but schoolwork does get in the way. We’ll reply eventually, we promise.

Anyways, thanks again for all the submissions and sorry for the delay.

First: the description of your blog. You love books, especially descriptive ones. You like “smelling books to determine how good the story is going to be.” The use of senses and descriptions transfer directly from the books you read to your every day speaking and writing. Your use of grammar and capitalization on the Internet suggests a habit of writing correctly.
You are a Harry Potter fan. You reblog many gifs, pictures, and general text posts about Harry Potter. You await the end of the beta period of Pottermore eagerly and patiently. However, you are getting frustrated with the delays. You also enjoy Glee, an American show. It stands to reason you are American.
You enjoy playing the cello, as stated in the description. People who play an instrument tend to start adopting the qualities of the instrument, especially if they play it often and get emotionally attached to it. You are comfortable in a variety of situations and have a variety of different interests. You are a student, and you enjoy learning. However, you don’t like being forced to do unnecessary work — busywork. You enjoy school when you get information out of it, but hate spending time on useless endeavors. You lose sleep due to schoolwork and don’t focus as well because of it, getting frustrated at others for not focusing as well. You have good common sense, and know that you need more sleep, however, you never quite get to it. Although you don’t dislike school, you’re relieved when the weekend rolls around.
Summary: Student who enjoys school but dislikes busywork, doesn’t get enough sleep, reads for fun, and loves playing the cello.

[How did we do?]

You’re a proud young woman — you’re the fiance of a soldier, and your grammar indicates this as well. You’re going to be married soon — within six months, easily. The images of you with your fiance are practically brimming with love and adoration; you’re still in that stage where you can’t quite believe it’s happening (congratulations, by the way). You’re new to tumblr, online mostly because of your friends (Amanda and Deven). You’ve been recently introduced to BBC’s Sherlock, probably by the same people who introduced you to tumblr. You don’t follow many people — clearly you’re still getting used to it. Your blog being mostly personal indicates you don’t mind sharing information with others — you’re quite trusting.
You’re a little impatient, but not to the point of being rude. You’ve recently graduated — you’re still living with your parents, but you’re also getting married, so you can’t still be in school. Your fiance is a little older than you; he’s already gone through his military training. He’s probably stationed somewhere besides your hometown, a sunny but chilly place in the northeast (can’t be west — too cloudy). It’s possible you’re getting married soon so you can stay with him as he moves around. After all, you’ve only graduated within the past two years, I’d estimate. Going to college (if you are going to college — marriage and living with parents would seem to indicate otherwise) somewhere close to your home.

[How did we do?]

Because this is a short clue there is only so much that we can deduce. We will do our best.
From your choice of music, we can deduce that you are a big fan of pop culture and mainstream music. You enjoy songs with a good beat, and you prefer music with melodies.
Next, we can makes observations from your diction and grammar. Your grammar is correct except for capital letters. You wrote your submission quickly. You have a tendency to write out full sentences and you care about grammar in an informal environment. You use the word “bro” casually, a word that can be used for and by any gender in common speech, therefore your gender would be difficult to determine from this clue.
You are not a good multitasker. You listen to music to put off work. You find listening to music distracting while trying to do work, and therefore you cannot do both at the same time.
You have an overactive id. You get distracted easily because you are more inclined to cater to your desires rather than responsibilities. However, you still care about schoolwork at least somewhat. You feel guilty about putting off work; you wouldn’t have mentioned it otherwise. You care about doing well on the test, but you can’t overcome your desire to relax and have fun in order to make it a possibility.
Summary: You are a student who enjoys pop culture and mainstream music, whose desire for fun is placed before responsibilities.

skywardbound asked: You were mostly correct, except for one error that could have been remedied with a bit of thought. By looking at the picture straight on you assumed that my hair is parted to the right, but if you can imagine yourself looking at the screen through my eyes, you'd realize that my hair is actually parted to the left. Thus leading to the conclusion that I am actually right-handed. Otherwise, I applaud your deduction. :)

Rats! There’s always something! Also, I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but some cameras in computers take mirror-image photos (I know mine does), but some take them like a camera would. Thanks for submitting, though. That was a fun deduction.
